Hi, I’m Lucy 👋🏼

I’m a BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist. What does that mean? It means I can guide and support you in making changes to your diet and lifestyle to help you achieve a specific health outcome.

I also run nutrition workshops, workplace wellbeing sessions and teach hypnobirthing. I’m passionate about helping you to live your best life - whether that’s through eating well to feel well, having a thriving workplace, instilling an enthusiasm for fermented foods or having the best pregnancy and birth experience for you.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

It’s a complimentary approach to health and wellness that focuses on diet and lifestyle. It also:

  • Is personal to you - nutrition plans are always tailored to the individual. There’s no ‘one size fits all’ rules when it comes to nutrition.

  • Has an emphasis on whole foods - whilst no two nutrition plans will be the same, there will always be a strong focus on nutrient dense, whole foods.

  • May focus on specific nutrients - for example you may have signs of an insufficiency of certain nutrients or you may have an increased need. This can be addressed through food and quality nutritional supplements.

  • Takes into account lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, work-life balance, family life, exercise levels and more. A good nutritional therapist will help you to address a broad range of factors that may be affecting your health.

  • Always seeks to find the root cause of symptoms. Skin issues? Could be rooted in the gut. Low energy? Could be related to blood sugar fluctuations. Joint pain? Potentially caused by inflammation, that’s mediated by your gut microbes. Every case is different.

Hypnobirthing

Hypnobirthing courses are the perfect way to prepare for labour and birth. Expectant mums will learn how to use hypnosis, breathing, relaxation and visualisation techniques to support them through labour. Partners learn how to be a valuable and supportive birth companion, and both mum and partner will be taken through the essentials of childbirth - hormones, physiology, your rights and options, planning and mind-mapping.


Workshops

I’m really passionate about sharing my nutrition knowledge and expertise, and have been doing so through workshops, courses and events for 10+ years. I qualified as a nutritional therapist in 2017 and I started running workshops while I was still a student to consolidate and share what I was learning. I’ve run workshops on a great many subjects - from women’s health & hormones to gut health; weight loss to nutrition for mental health. I believe in teaching people not just what they should eat to be well, but how their body works and how certain foods can support optimal function. Understanding why you should do something makes it so much easier to buy into and stick to.
